OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

WELCOME!

Our school year is off to a great start! It’s been wonderful watching our children settle into the routine of a new year and we would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and trust in Spark Preschool. Fall is a busy season here at school! Here’s what’s happening in the next several weeks:

CHANGE OF SEASON

With cooler weather arriving, please be sure the extra clothes in your child’s backpack are appropriate for the season. Also, we will go outside even when it’s cool, so please leave a jacket for your child as needed.

COFFEE, ANYONE?

On Wednesday mornings, the cafe in the lobby will be open! Stop by for a drink to enjoy in the lobby, or to go.

WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR DONATIONS

Coming soon, our rolling board located in the lobby will be transformed into a donation board! Choose a star and donate that item to Spark. We are grateful for your support!

LYND FIELD TRIP

We are looking forward to our trip to Lynd Fruit Farm. On the day of your field trip, we will meet at Lynd’s, 9399 Morse Rd. Please arrive a few minutes early as our tour begins promptly at 10. The limitation of one adult per child is due to space on the wagons that take us to the apple facility and orchard. Siblings under 2 who can sit on your lap on the wagon are welcome and do not need to pay. Thanks for understanding.

MODIFIED DROP OFF

Beginning the week of November 9, we will be offering a modified drop off option in the mornings. Caregivers can park in one of the designated parking spaces along the east side of the building. A Spark staff member will monitor your locked vehicle while you walk your preschooler to their classroom. This is a great option if you have infants or other children you prefer to leave in the car.  Drop off will be available from 8:55 until 9:10.  This is optional. You are always welcome to park at the rear of the building and bring your child into school. Dismissal  will remain inside the building.

COSTUME PARADES

One of our favorite fall traditions at Spark are our costume parades! On Wednesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 29 children may wear a (non-scary) costume to school.  We will parade along the drive at the rear of the building beginning around 9:15. Parents can wait on the sidewalk or in the lobby (rain location) after dropping off their child.
