Spark Preschool Showlist
2014-15 Registration Information
Class spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will do our best to honor your class/day preferences.
After all class assignments are made, we will create a waiting list for remaining registrants and send email notification to those families. The registration fee will be refunded only to those who withdraw from the wait-list or who are not placed in a class by September 2014.
If you do not receive an email regarding the wait-list, you may assume your child has been placed in a class. You will receive a letter in the late summer telling you about specific class placement, orientation dates, tuition payments, etc.; your child will also receive a letter from his/her teacher close to the start of classes.
We are honored that you have chosen Spark Preschool for your child.
Spark's Weather Policy
The first snowfall of the school year brings this reminder of the weather policy for Spark:
1) If Westerville City Schools (WCS) announce in the morning they are cancelling classes for the day, for snow- or other weather-related reasons, Spark will be closed for the day too.
2) If WCS have a 2-hour delay in the morning, Spark morning classes will be cancelled. Afternoon classes will still be held, unless further cancellations are announced.
3) If WCS announce they are cancelling afternoon kindergarten classes due to the weather, Spark afternoon classes will be cancelled.
Any time the conditions seem iffy before you head out to Spark, please check local news channels, the Spark website, Facebook, our phone line or text your child's teacher. Spark will not be named specifically on news media, but whatever WCS is doing, so are we.
Picnic in the Park Sign-Up
PIP (Picnic in the Park) is a reservations-only lunch program offered between morning and afternoon classes, on various Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. It is held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. -- morning students stay after class, and afternoon students come 45 minutes early, to play in Central Park and eat lunch together. Students bring a packed lunch (no nut-products please, including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or candy in Lunchables), and learn independence and social skills in a supervised setting. Cost is $7 per lunch session, due the day you sign up, and you may sign up for individual sessions or a month at a time at the PIP table in the preschool area. Spaces are limited to 24 children.
Sign up begins the first class day of each month.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask Linda or Amy in the office.
At Spark our purpose is to provide a multi-faceted learning experience where a child's scholastic and spiritual growth is creatively developed, where parents' hopes and goals for students are thoroughly honored, and where a staff's commitment to love God and love people is authentic and evident.
We offer classes for 3's, 4's, and 5's.
